911 Service Disclosure
Last updated October 2, 2026
1. Important
Emergency calling over Callata works differently from a traditional landline. By using the Service you acknowledge these limitations, and account owners must share them with everyone who uses the Service.
2. Registered address
Each account registers a dispatchable address (including suite or floor). When anyone on the account dials 911, the call goes to the emergency answering point for that address, and that address and your business number are sent to the dispatcher. If you move or use the Service somewhere else, update the address in Admin → Numbers & 911 before relying on 911. Emergency services may be sent to the wrong location if the address is out of date.
3. When 911 may not work
911 calls won't connect if you lose power, internet access, or the device or browser you use for calling; during network congestion or outages; or if your account is suspended. After an outage you may need to reload the app before calling. Keep a mobile phone or landline available as a backup.
4. Dispatcher information
In some cases the dispatcher may not receive your callback number or location. Be ready to give your address and number and stay on the line.
5. Notifications
When 911 is dialed from your account we email the account owner, and optionally text a number you choose, so someone at your business knows help was called (Kari's Law). You can dial 911 directly without any prefix.
6. Testing
Don't test 911 by calling 911. Contact us and we'll help you verify your registered address.
7. Limitation
Dunn Investing LLC and its carriers aren't liable for any failure of 911 service arising from the limitations above, except to the extent the law does not allow liability to be limited.
