AI receptionist

Every caller gets a clear next step.

Callata’s AI concierge can answer a dedicated business line, handle calls after hours or pick up when your team is busy. You control how it speaks, what it knows and which actions it can use.

Set up your workspace

Give your concierge your business knowledge

Write your services, opening hours, policies and FAQs into the knowledge field, or import a plain-text or Markdown document. Choose business-only answers or allow general knowledge for a custom role. Business-specific facts still come from your supplied information.

Make the conversation yours

Edit the opening message, complete instructions, personality, response style, language, voice, closing phrase and handoff rules. Starting-role guidance is optional. Owners can use a voice available to their ElevenLabs workspace, including supported custom or cloned voices.

Connect callers with your team

Enable caller lookup, message-taking, callback requests and human transfers independently. Choose the transfer destination and routing slots. A callback request records a preferred time for the team to confirm; it does not promise a calendar booking.

Publish deliberately

Save a draft while the live agent continues using its published configuration. Try an unsaved text response, then publish to apply changes. Text preview does not test live audio or execute actions. Provider model and account limits apply.

Questions, answered

Can I change the AI receptionist’s voice and language?
Yes. Owners can choose a workspace voice or enter a supported voice ID, set a language code and adjust the voice model, stability, similarity and supported speaking speed.
Can an AI receptionist take over after hours?
Yes. Configure the agent’s after-hours slot and set your business’s after-hours handling to AI. The agent must be live and your account must have available AI credits.
Can I stop the agent from sending texts or emails?
Yes. Disable those actions independently. The server blocks disabled actions, and enabled texts or emails require the caller’s agreement.
