Business phone system

A business number. A connected team.

Callata brings your business calls and messages into one workspace. Your team can call from a browser, ring a mobile phone, share customer conversations and use AI agents when people are unavailable.

Set up your workspace

Keep business calls with your business

Use local business numbers, extensions and ring groups to route callers to your team. Set business hours and decide what happens after hours or when nobody answers. Available AI handling uses your prepaid AI minute balance; otherwise calls follow your configured fallback.

Turn conversations into useful follow-up

Call recordings can be transcribed and summarized with action items. Voicemail transcription helps your team read messages and plan callbacks. Sales leads appear in Contacts, while messages and customer-care handoffs appear in Voicemail & follow-ups.

Share business texting responsibly

A shared inbox keeps customer texts with the team. Business texting from US local numbers requires carrier registration. Recipients can opt out, and Callata blocks further texting until they opt back in. Registration and usage terms are explained during setup.

Choose what your AI agents do

Start with a concierge, sales agent or customer-care representative, then edit the role, instructions, knowledge, voice and actions. Save drafts without changing live behavior and publish when the configuration is ready.

Questions, answered

Do I need a desk phone?
Callata supports browser calling and routing to your mobile phone. Browser calling needs a supported browser, microphone permission and a working internet connection.
Are AI agent minutes included in the phone plan?
AI agent conversations use a separate prepaid balance. Voice calls consume AI minutes, and AI text replies also use credits. The AI Workforce screen shows your remaining balance and available top-ups.
Where do I configure emergency calling?
Account owners register and maintain the emergency address under Admin → Numbers & 911. Read the 911 service disclosure before relying on internet-based emergency calling.
